Yep. Thanks for confirming that you don’t actually know what censorship is. You can bow out of the conversation now.

You seem to be one of those people that doesn’t actually understand what censorship is. Censorship only occurs when the government threatens or imprisons you for your speech. If it’s a private company denying you a platform, that’s just that private company exercising their right to shut you up for being inflammatory.…
Don’t kid yourself. You don’t have people. You have trollfriends on twitter.
And I’ve known myself to be far more pathetically angry about things before. ;) But sure, let’s have a giant twitter war instead of PLAYING THE FUCKING GAMES we’re having a twitter war about, because one thing the world needs is assholes…
Just because you think it’s contrived doesn’t make it so. Rape culture is a thing. Objectification of women is also a thing. Technically, any representation that reinforces those social ills are definitely problems, even if you really like looking at T&A.
Pointing out that the problem of representation in media is an actual problem and using criticism of his avatar as a shield against other valid criticism is cowardly.
Oh look! A pathetically angry man-child throwing a testosterone tantrum!
Yeah, this guy is exactly what I’m talking about when I criticize the fighting game community at large for the terrible people in it.
I’ve read through the top responses. Nobody mentions the avatar. But yeah, that’s totally the only problem with the notion of representation in media. One anonymous user’s avatar.
“So let me get this straight, you guys are mad that a company took down some tweets and apologised?
Ignoring the context of what they are posting(cause it wasn’t just run of the mill screenshots, lol), It should also be noted, that if you look at the “sjw” complaints that happen like this, they aren’t ever that dramatic or significant either. At worst it’s a single long winded hot take that gets shared, but no one…
It’s just bad marketing, and pretty offensive to large swaths of fans.
When the pics in question are less about what the character can DO, and more about their ass (when we don’t even get that for men’s asses), then yes. Plus the bonus of not talking about what she does and saying “we all horny”. Maybe focus less on the horny and more about what the DLC brings in terms of play.
Fighting games are caught in a vicious feedback loop - over the years they’ve built up a following that is almost entirely composed of awful trash people, and so to compete within the genre, they have to cater to awful trash people.
Well, it’s not a girl, so I guess that would work.
not a kid
The original SNES game looks like an expensively made 2D game compared to its contemporaries, this remake looks like only decent compared to other 3D anime JRPGs like Ni No Kuni 2.
Absolutely no one was expecting a 1-to-1 remake.
I don’t see anything about “pumping a money printer” in the ending.
I DO think I see you being angry that the party basically killed you in effigy as the final boss.
Yeah. Its kind of surprising that they haven’t yet. They definitely seem to be mining the back catalog for more and more stuff, so it is probably just a matter of time. I’m OK with them learning some lessons on these other remakes first, though.
I’m hoping this is square doing a trial run before a similarly approached Chrono Trigger remake/remaster.
