There is nothing in the goddamned world like the absolute fragility of folks who occupy majority (race/ethnicity/sex/sexual orientation/religious affiliation) status feeling like they might have to share the pie they’ve previously had 99% of.

Think about this for just a moment: Every time someone screams about “SJWs,”

DC must be livid that Marvel got to Thanos before they could get to Darkseid.

I would pay big money to see another Justice League where straight up the main villain is just Shannon Doherty.

Shannon Doherty is a way bigger villain that Michael Shannon will ever be.

She supports the government treating LGB people equally from one side of her mouth, and supports “religious freedom” laws out of the other side. These are often referred to as “right to bigotry” laws by LGBTQ advocates. These are loopholes that give people the right to discriminate if they can provide a faith-based

If you can’t see the difference between:
Starting at “I oppose the homosexual extremist agenda to institute civil unions” and ending up at “fighting the Muslims showed me it’s not the government’s business, but I still don’t think the government should protect the gays’ employment or housing rights”.

The difference between a Gabbard and an Obama is fairly simple. It’s a matter of motivation. One holds the right position and fails to act out of political cowardice. The other holds the wrong position and backs down only out of political cowardice.

Saying “how can you criticize this person if you haven’t criticized literally everyone else??” is not calling out hypocrisy, it’s the very definition of whataboutism.

“Whataboutism” is in fact a type of word called a portmanteau. It is generally defined as a cynical attempt to excuse or distract from criticism by saying “but what about” and projecting that criticism on to someone else.

More whataboutism, but yes, I was very frustrated with Obama. For this and many other reasons.

And what does any of that have to do with Tulsi Gabbard?

Well bend over, buttercup. I’ll eat your anus out until your views make sense. I prefer syrup.

Hot Take was an early Tulsi fan. Guess they still are. How about both Biden and Gabbard suck on this regard?

Because how can you defend Tulsi Gabbard without deflecting and derailing the conversation? Biden is just a distraction in that comment.

Fuck Biden, what does that creepy old piece of dog shit have to do with Tulsi’s rabid homophobia which she continued to spout well into adulthood? What does he have to do with her painful slow roll towards what can at best be described as a conservative Libertarian stance?

And as a topper, she couched her “evolution” on LGBTQ rights in Islamophobia.

It’s not “disingenuous” to examine someone’s record, including things they said and did while either running for or holding political office. If you were paying attention, nobody got a “yes, you were always 100% perfect on LGBT rights, here’s your gold star” in the article. The dinged Buttigieg on something arguably

I certainly don't view that as a reason to trust her on LGBT issues as a president.

Yeah, her reasoning behind her shift feels very transparent. She correctly read the tea leaves that Dems weren’t going to continue accepting anti-LGBTQ politicians and knew she had to change course to in order to ever get elected. I would question how much her views have actually changed.

I feel for the fans who will never get to see the Mar-Vell that they wanted onscreen in the MCU, but I thought every change they made for Captain Marvel worked pretty much perfectly.
