I mean, even if it was prescribed, it is still possible that Dick was taking Xanax to get fucked up.

Being a human train wreck is his career.

KINJA!!!!!!!

Because it hurts my community and lacked any sincerity for his victim.

So, does he end up doing anything other than glower? It’s not like GoT let him stretch his range at all.

The good 95% are indifferent to the abuses of the 5%.

Actually almost all dollar bills of any denomination have traces of drugs, so just look in anyone’s wallet and slap on the cuffs!

We’re through the looking glass here, people.

I know that the left isn’t free of hypocrisy, but I will never cease to be amazed that the same people who carp about media bias and scream “fake news” the loudest can watch something as patently, almost condescendingly propagandistic as Fox News.

In Jersey, we call that the “Jim McGreevey defense.”

This season of America is really straining credibility. A reboot might be in order.

Just curious....will Alan Dershowitz do anything for money?

Kevin Spacey is an actor, and has appeared in many relevant movies and TV shows...you know, pop culture stuff.

Actually it would be attempted rape as a 14-year-old can’t give consent.

You’re right, but I think it’s more about the fact that he thinks this reveal offers some sort of explanation; like it’s an excuse for assault, or it explains why he could’ve did what he’s accused of. It’s by default saying that the out version of Spacey has an excuse for behaving this way, and that’s really gross.

I know this might come across as pedantic (and doesn’t deal with the greater issue of sexual assault of a minor), but considering the allegations and the historical context of “choosing your sexuality” as well as the false equivalency of “homosexuality = pedophilia”, the statement is poorly written. Sure, the next

Oscar Wilde was a gay man. He chose to live, for understandable reasons, as a straight man. Now with homosexuality being legal, Spacey’s reasons aren’t remotely as understandable in terms of living as a straight man, but they are his own and moreover, we still live in an extremely homophobic cultural climate.

The problem isn’t that his statement alludes to the fact that he’s gay. The problem is that his coming out is the whole second paragraph and steals focus from his actions and the victim. It also feels like he’s trying to spin this as a positive moment in his life. “Hey guy! I’m finally coming out! Isn’t this great?”

In his statement he says “[....], and I choose now to live as a gay man”, which has its own huge set of problems, i.e. that your sexuality is a choice.

The worst part of this is how many assholes are going to use Spacey as proof of the old “gays = pedophiles” saw.
