You can find coverage all over this site about how the Switch is a mobile indie-game lover’s dream come true. Nobody up until a year ago would have said not to get a switch for indie games.

I really think the pandemic put a huge dent in Nintendo’s plans to do a proper Switch Pro and it would address many of the largest criticisms against the platform. At this point it’s probably more likely a “Switch 2" will exist before the much rumored Switch Pro will.

The Steam Deck is exactly like the Nomad in that it’s a portable way to play games from another platform but has no exclusive titles of its own.

Nintendo has also diluted the amount of 1st party releases by going to one console instead of bespoke home and portable systems. I found that too. They have boxes with the episode number that you would think you could click & it would take you to that episode - but, nope, nothing happens.
