I think there’s probably a good reason that so much of that scene sprung into existence pre-social media. It’s a little harder to hit folks with cease and desists if you have to actively go into a convention hall somewhere, figure out what they’re selling, then get that document drafted up before the end of the event.

I’d actually argue that he -didn’t- shake it up at all. At least Chibnall, abysmal writer that he is, actually decided to do a Team Tardis with multiple people who weren’t all traditionally pretty white women from modern settings.

I like Clara, I love Bill, it’s not all dire on the Moffat side of the companions. But I

Huh, I didn’t know that! Very interesting. Very dumb, but very interesting.

It kinda just seems like most major Japan-based game companies actively hate their fanbases, but that seems unlikely. What is more likely is that Japanese intellectual property law is so absolutely turbo-fucked that anyone engaging with the IP outside of approved, carefully manicured channels is perceived as a threat.

Also, I’ll never forgive Moffat for taking Doctor Who from “This is Rose. Rose works a menial job and longs for something more. Her character arc will be finding out whether that life of adventure is what she really wants, and whether she and the Doctor are good for each other” to “This is River Song. She is the

Sometimes I lay awake at night thinking about how it always takes me one or two attempts to plug in my phone charger, and how Sherlock would extrapolate that to me being an alcoholic rather than just generally uncoordinated.

Peak “dumb show cosplaying as smart” energy.

EEAAO basically convinced me to leave a bad work situation and reevaluate whether the relationships I allowed into my life were kind ones - whether I was being kind to myself by allowing them in. It was profoundly meaningful to me, and I wouldn’t shave off a single minute. I can’t even imagine how much more meaningful

What are you even talking about

Oh man, you win. Onward was aggressively mid, but that one was a dog turd.

Reminds me of 2020, when the one movie I saw in theatres, and what I thought might be the last movie I would ever get to see in theatres again, was fucking Onward.

Which opinion? They said Multiverse was the worst movie they saw this year, haha.

That’s so unfortunate, Multiverse was actively horrible.

I’m not about to spend multiple hours of my life on the Cate Blanchett: Lesbian Sex Pest movie, but happy to see Everything Everywhere get so close to the top spot. It was an incredible l experience walking out of that theatre, my partner and I overhearing about three other couples talking about it might be their

I weirdly liked Gas Station simulator. The lonely desert “highway to nowhere” vibe feels less like a tedious chore simulator and more like you’re keeping the set dressing intact while a David Lynch movie plays just out of sight. Very eerie.

Both of those things are true.

Sony’s making TV shows for a lot of things that I think are ill-advised. Most consider it fundamentally cursed because they released the first one only to have it near-instantly overshadowed by Breath of the Wild, and the released the second one only to have it near-instantly overshadowed by Elden Ring.

Well, look at her dance! Well, look at her go!

Coming soon to HBO: “Mayor Mare of East Kingstown.” Starring Kate Winslet, Jeremy Renner, and Butterscotch the Horse. (Voiced by Chris Fleming.)

My favorite episode of the show thus far has been Pride and Prejudance Adventure. Not a Christmas episode, but I found the messaging about not straight-washing history for the sake of convenience really moving.

“I was a lesbian. For men. Especially lumberjacks, I was very lesbian for lumberjacks.”
“We actually call it

My bi-annual reminder that this is not a show about a pastoral village called Easttown where the titular horse gets in misadventures and teaches lessons.
