I agree with you whole-heartedly, but probably should say my comment is not a serious gameplan, it's a glib attempt to cope with yet another, seemingly daily, dose of unimaginable horror with comedic hyperbole.

At this point, if you find 4chan in your kids browsing history, it’s time to throw every internet capable device they have into a volcano and move to the woods. 18 years old, Christ.
Truly felt like this movie did Wanda so dirty. I know the whole “the darkhold corrupts you” thing is stated, but it still feels busted for 1) her to have seemingly retained no insight or guilt about her time in Westview and 2) for a character who is a refugee war orphan who lost her parents, brother, freedom, husband,…
He is the DM for Dungeons and Daddies, which has like 20k+ patreon supporters. It’s not quite Critical Role, but it’s certainly paying more than Borderlands did.
I’d love for him to come back though.
If you do an equivalent amount of damage to two groups, but one of those groups is massively more vulnerable, you have done -more- harm to that group than you did the other.
I can see where you’re reading that in, but given that Taika Waititi is deuteragonist of the gayest thing to release this year, I’m guessing it’s meant to be read as “Star-Lord still doesn’t like Thor, feels very jealous of him, and would like for him to leave the crew” and not “Star-Lord is very worried that people…
It’s not my favorite. I have actually been keeping up with One Piece, but that’s about it - and reading it online is always kind of a pain. Oda does so many multi-page spreads so I have to pop back and forth.
It’s more financial/practical. I don’t have five bucks to spend on every single book that I’d like to read, and I don’t live close enough to a shop anymore for me to be willing to drive weekly to go pick up my pull-list.
I’m not reading, ah, any comics anymore - they’re just hard to fit into my life now. But the last few years of X-Men lunacy have been my favorite to hear about secondhand. Every development a new, insane, often genuinely interesting turn for a franchise that by all rights could have bled out all its ideas years ago.
Thank you for saying it because I was coming here to post exactly this. Like, yeah, the game goes buckwild - but a lot of the things that had confusion expressed about them in this chat were just like . . answered directly by the game. And not buried in lore and journal entries either - like outright stated in major…
At least Call Me By Your Name, the last big age-gap discourse that I can remember in one of these prestige pictures, had the good sense not to have them end up together and to make it clear that their relationship has a greviously disproportionate power dynamic and level of emotional investment.
This movie just has…
“a teenage entrepreneur (Cooper Hoffman, son of Philip Seymour) and his slightly older but not much more emotionally mature crush”
I cannot fucking believe we are still doing this South Park-episode-released-in-2000-fucking-6-ass-shit. She is anywhere between ten and thirteen years older than this FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD.
Not…
I get the argument, I do, but answer honestly - if any other movie ending (with an age-appropriate couple) ended with the two leads running through the night to serendipitously find each other, embracing, kissing, then running into the night after declaring “we’re getting married!” - would you assume “oh, there’s no…
She starts dating a child.
Everyone’s getting mad about Don’t Look Up being here, but I’m gonna throw my hate-hat in for Licorice Pizza, which was an interminable nothing of a film - just dull boomer nostalgia-baiting, weird and misplaced ‘humor’, a complete absence of anything resembling a character arc, and the culmination of the story being…
I resisted it for the same reason I have resisted Succession - I don’t want to watch any more shows about rich white people unless they’re getting murdered by a man with a hook for a hand.
At least, as I understand, Succession is funny? The White Lotus did not feel funny. Just a bunch of insufferable monsters being…
For me, it’s the issue that every each season has about two good sketches, and then seemingly a hundred variations on the same “man doesn’t have the correct level of response to this situation!” joke that got tired very, very quick.
If we were handing out awards based purely on the look of shows, Arcane would win every award from here until the end of time. Holy god, that show is an actual miracle to look at.
But yeah, it deserves a spot on this list. Certainly more than I Think You Should Leave or The White Lotus, two shows whose critical…
Hm.
Is this going to be Free-to-Play in the way that getting the cool skins and such will require way too much grinding/real world money, but you can still play as everyone right out the gate and eventually earn things if you’re patient- or will it be Free-to-Play in the Brawlhalla sense wherein if I wanted to play as the…
