To be fair, Guangzhou is many times larger than Shijiazhuang (wikipedia says population 11 million), and right next to two other large cities, Shenzen and Hong Kong. Together they are one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.
That is a lot of babies though. It's terrible to think what will happen to unwanted

Back in college St. Patrick's Day always coincided with Spring Break. My senior year while most of my friends went down to Florida I ended up having to get my wisdom teeth removed back in my hometown. The day before St. Patrick's Day. Even though I was totally doped up on percocet and my face was literally yellow with

I've never seen a film with Stoya but I do follow her on twitter because she is so cool/smart/funny. She wrote a great article here.

Not crazy about the "trend" aspect but a part of me kind of wishes my husband had been into this. Hated wedding planning SO much.

I like to think that by summing up all of the gossip mags, Jez actually prevents a lot of people from going out and buying them, since they can just read the info online. Plus Jez probably spends $20 total a week on them, which is the tiniest drop in the bucket.

I am watching TNT and it's in spanish! weird.

Watching the Oscars in Mexico so it is, of course, dubbed in Spanish. So frustrating! Is Ellen being funny?

I'm going to insist on seeing it. And then I'm going to get very depressed.

My favorite so far! I would get married in that.

One of the tastiest cities I have ever visited! Are people forgetting it's also the home of Pasta (never spaghetti) Bolognese?!

Bologna is already basically disneyland for people who love Italian food. I am all over this!

I got "sexy japanese grandma"

I work from home and get this a lot from my mother. "What did you do today?"

I work from home! I'm a self-employed freelance writer. Sometimes it's really hard to stay focused and get everything done, some days I am really grateful I can sleep in an extra hour, or run to the store if I need to.
We live abroad right now but my husband is interviewing right now for a lot of tech industry jobs in

Still seems more like a personality clash than education issue. Either you're confident in yourself or you're not. For example my high-school grad husband always says he was attracted to me for my brainy ways.

I guess that could be a factor. As someone with only a bachelor's degree I can't say I've ever been intimidated by anyone's higher degree though.

Maybe even a correlation...

Totally! Can't figure out how to post it, but this is the blue ring my fiance designed for me:

Reminds me of then my now- husband bought my (non-diamond) engagement ring. His sister's jaw-dropped: "You are ALLOWED to do that?"

Pretty! I've always thought clear diamonds were kind of boring. We went with an aquamarine for my engagement ring and I love how pretty it is, and how much less it cost!
