It’s not just that it encourages an unhealthy attitude towards food. The complications from this device seem just as or even more physically damaging and dangerous than throwing up: The AspireAssist requires constant maintenance and carries the risk of infection, bleeding, fistulas, and death.
Binging and purging is not a life choice, it’s objectively a bad practice. This is just medical device assisted binging and purging.

Because it isn’t reasonably safe. It encourages binging and purging as a weight loss solution.
It’s just purging without the tooth decay. I don’t see why they would ever approve this.
