There is no remaster of any sort for SH1. You need to either buy it from online shops, or emulate it on a PC, which really is not hard.
I liked SH4 a lot in 2004, and I like it even more nowadays. Totally underappreciated, falsely bashed title in the series. Better than ANY SH game to come out after its time.
I’m considering myself a HC SH-fan as well, and I’ve been playing the series since the original came out, at which point I first thought it as as another mere cheap Resident Evil clone amongst the many others.
As a very old SH fan, I’d say NO.

been emulating my old favorite classics on PC, with no filters whatsoever, for who knows how long, and got no problems whatsoever looking at the picture.

Just played Resident Evil 2 again after years of not touching it, and it feels even better than I remembered it. Silent Hill is still one of my all time favorite games, and the Final Fantasy 7 and 9…

just look up Doom 64 EX, and you don’t need to emulate it!
D64 EX is literally a reverse-engineered out of the original N64 ROM, with some PC voodoo and visual GUI slapped on top. Not too many people are going to be thrilled / even capable of playing the N64 original.

Personally I consider it one of the worst and most boring FF games, ever. It is literally an offline MMO, with bland characters.
