It’s linear as hell, has obligatory game-stopping “battle arenas”, and no vertical movement whatsoever. All in all SW2013 is horribly overrated modern piece of crap reboot, that only shows the complete incompetence and lack of imagination of modern-day devs.

The big difference is the fact that those hi-res pictures were not present on the PS1 disc, just their scaled down versions. Stretching up a 240p image on modern 1080p - 2160p screens can be enough to make some people’s eyes bleed apparently. Not to mention it makes the 3D models pop up even more than before.
Actually it’s the opposite: those high-res originals were shrunk TO the PS1’s 240p resolution, and that’s where they are stuck now. You can only do so little with simple filters, but ultimately this game will not be FullHD friendly when it comes to backgrounds.
Well excuse me if I find it bawling that even old classics are now being raped by this terrible casual design bullshit, allowing players to literally skip half of the game and gameplay.
