You know... I’m pretty sure this game’s made with the ancient “FPS Creator” program. Those straight 90 degree angles, minimalistic lighting, the “Press Enter to open”, that goddamn sitting skeleton... it really all seems familiar. Didn’t expect someone to try and sell something made with THAT thing a whole decade

...and the endless addition of BRIDGES AND FERNS.

inb4 & after 10,000s of people who don't know what "Yandere" is, calling people playing this psychos.

The overall interface at the start was pretty much the same as seen in the Accel World anime, where everyone's linked to AR online systems 24/7

...And that's why I keep my PS3 offline. :)

Never played any of the WORMS games?

Worked just fine for me. Got the PAL version in the Zelda Collection.

As someone who witnessed a total first-timer play and beat the original MM for the very first time just months ago (without much issues), I can say that the game SOUNDS more complex than it actually is. Just about all the stuff told in this article I would expect ANYONE to figure out sooner or later, not to mention

It's kinda weird if you haven't, since the original Manga series if from late 1980s, this "egyptian arc" was adapted into OVA series in 90s, there's several fighting games made out of the series for arcades and PS1, and they started a brand new TV-series in 2012 that's been going through all the arcs in chronological

Well I learned of the resolution drop simply by plugging my old N64 to my current HD TV one day, and played both OoT & MM on it. These modern TV screens really aren't gentle for 5th gen console game graphics, so every oversized pixel really shined.

it ran at lower resolution. It's very clearly visible if you compare OoT and MM side by side.

You really should NOT start with Clear Sky. Not only it is a "sequel" (story-wise a prequel, but whatev), it's also considered by most to be the worst game in the series. Definitely the buggiest.

launch up the original N64 version if you can. I bet you'll be horrified to notice how low-res it is. It literally is running at lower resolution than Ocarina of Time, and we're already talking sub-240i here.

If you weren't playing games in the 90s, you might not remember tank controls, a movement scheme best left to history

Actually both OoT and MM are locked to 20fps, which translated to ~17fps in the PAL region because of the 50hz transition. On top of that MM had some minor slowdowns at times.

Every single question of this short that includes "I went to watch some Youtube footage and didn't get it" -part instantly nullifies the point. Even more so if you have played HL2 already BUT not the first one for some weird reason.

They "redraw it", because the original used horrible, rushed 3DCG, and to be honest the KIDS did not look like kids in the flashback either.

I got another one for ya. Seriously, my young mind couldn't handle all these GRAPHIX back in early 2000's. "Next gen" has never been this extreme.

"What exactly makes it so much better?"

MGS2 guards with AKs? In the MGS1 setting??
