This is what I've been thinking as well. The devs have now stated, multiple times, that STALKER 2 will be as moddable as the previous titles, if not even more so thanks to the new engine.

Somewhere, in the late 90's, RE2 and its story in whole was supposed to be what RE-movie was going to be about. They even made some nice teaser photos with RL RPD police station entrance, people suited up as Leon and Claire... That was... sometime before the first Mummy -movie.

Gametrailer's review stated that the PS3 version at least would be a direct port of PS2 version, with the lower quality textures and all though.

They didn't add anything new. On PS3 it's even a direct port of PS2-version, running at 720p.

So, it would seem that Xbox's version of RE4 HD is actually better defined than the PS3 version, which was just PS2-version ported to 720p, with all its crappy low-quality textures, simplified models and even framerate issues ? WTF Capcom!
