@Teran: The map is from Doom. Pretty much all important FPS games in the early / mid 90's had a map you could check out at any point you wanted.

@Diamond Sea: I greatly would suggest playing the first one FIRST. The Shattered Memories is created as a bit of an "fanservice", that is old characters twisted to something very different and thrown in a very different setting.

It's a shame that Nintedo sure is not going to even try using anything like this in their games, they are still too focused on recreating their childhood adventures and plays in a fantasy settings.
