I also keep saying the self driving car has already been invented for quite sometime. It’s called trains.

“I guess you can measure the degree to which our car market is under-regulated and truck-heavy by this figure.”
It was not the same engine. The intake manifold was redesigned and went from 2 injectors to four and made 11hp more.
2nd gen celica?? What! The 1st gen notchback is one of my dream cars. The 2nd gen is an ugly econo car disaster.
Styling wise no question. Mechanically though the 2nd gen was a better car all around.
The problem with the 3rd gen is the complete lack of storage. Mid 2000's I was looking to sell my low mileage 1st gen and get a 3rd gen. The fact I couldn’t get groceries in it with my SO instantly killed it.
Not surprising it tied the Mazda6 since the drivetrain, suspension and chassis are identical.
Styling wise yes. Every where else I’d call them a disaster. The 4SGTE motor is utter garbage and basically unservicable in the car. All the complexity drove the cost up(and weight up) which in the end killed it since no one bought them. The first gen is low maintenance, low cost, easy to work on, light fun car to…
The only thing better about the second gen Toyabaru is the engine. The styling falls decidedly flat for me. It’s not terrible, but it’s not good either. I like the 1st gen MUCH better in that department.
First time I had a car with a back up cam I didn’t know what to do. Now that I’m used to it for sure both hands are on the wheel. I take a look around before starting to back up then eyes on the screen. Driving a car with a back up cam now is unnerving for me.
This article says nothing of the terrible things they have done. The link to the “string of articles” says nothing about torture. Two people complained of how they were restrained. Those two people could be violent scum bags who 100% needed to be restrained that way. There’s zero context.
The problem is unless we make a MASSIVE switch in how our electricity is produced making hydrogen produces more carbon than it saves in emissions. Also it won’t ever replace gasoline. Using hydrogen in an ICE doesn’t make sense. The size of the storage tank is huge as compared to a gasoline tank with way less energy…
As much as this is awesome Toyota just needs to give up on hydrogen. It’s such a dead end. Until someone figures out a cheaper way to make and store it it’s a dead end.
“It seems like dealers’ shenanigans are becoming a daily thing.” As with everything(like crime) now the rate at which these things occur is probably the lowest it’s every been. It’s just with how connected we are it seems like it is happening more than ever.
I voted NP. I have no idea what one of these is really worth but I love it.
That is every single generation of the WRX. Each new one looks worse than the one it replaces.
I wonder if there is an correlation with vehicles getting heavier and taller.
How did the Defender not make this list??? I worked at a shop that specialized in them for a few years. I can say unequivocally they are awful pieces of garbage. Everything on them except for maybe the transfer case is prone to failure at any point. The bodies are built like someone in there backyard would. The axles…
Since it would be 1/10 the size you’d have to assume so.
A camera now costs less than a standard side mirror. The cost for that camera on the OEM level is easily under a dollar.
