Ya DUI checkpoints don’t seem quite right. I’d maybe give them a pass if they only thing they did was check sobriety. I’m sure they ticket and arrest for every other little thing they happen to find.

I’ve said this on here before but these low mile cars don’t get driven much not for the awful reasons we think. It usually because it’s from a collection. And by collection I mean some one with a ton of cars. If you have thirty cars it’s very hard to put a ton of miles on any of them. Also if you own thirty cars you…
wow it looks bad from the side. so, so bad. Damn these eyes!
I’ve seen this in practice. It is terrible. A guy a mile or so from me got his helicopter license and a Robinson R22. He then just started using it like a car and landing where ever he damn well wanted. People would call the cops thinking he was emergency landing all the time. Just in general he had no regard for…
I guess we’re still in the “more grill, more better” era unfortunately.
This is how I have always had to buy cars. I could never find what I wanted locally. Longest trip was flying down to Tampa from Boston to get a low mileage MazdaSpeed Miata and driving it back. Great trip, awful car. The speed miata has to be the worst factory miata made but somehow people think they are great.
5G is NOT causing any problems. There has been no study or actual case of it being a problem. Stop hyping up something that isn’t real....
RV’s are in no way a purchase you try and justify by expenses. You either want it or you don’t. Having a reduction in wear and tear on your tow vehicle, increase in fuel economy and the off grid power seems like an overall win to me.
Doesn’t just apply to electric vehicles. If you’ve got a gas or diesel it will reduce the load on those too. So no matter what you’re straining the tow vehicle way less and getting better fuel economy.
Even though Toyota may had more stage wins but it seemed like the Fords were better prepped out of the gate. The Ford drivers were all praising how good the car was straight away. The Toyota drivers had some grumbles about the car not being quite right. Let’s not forget Hyundai which seemed to totally drop the ball.…
The VSC thing is weird to me. I get how it should make cars safer but in every car I have owned it’s done nothing but almost got me into crashes. During a small slide or something to that effect I will countersteer to correct but the VSC starts grabbing brakes and cutting power sending me in a completely different…
I agree but disagree. The problem with any inspection system is it’s a snapshot in time. Yes the car was safe right then but that has no bearing on it’s road worthiness 6 months down the road. Active enforcement seems like a good idea but... that opens the door for all sorts of racist policing. Better solution just…
CAFE and the chicken tax. Two laws that have twisted the american automotive landscape. Why don’t why have small cars? CAFE. Why don’t we have wagons? CAFE. Why don’t we have trucks that aren’t BRO sized? The chicken tax.
The WRC+ service has daily highlight shows that are 30 minutes long. Thursday is usually only one stage so that gets lumped into the Friday highlight show for a total of three shows. They give stage and overall classifications after every stage during the highlight shows.
When Geos were readily available in the boneyard you could build a bolt in swap “big block” for a few hundred bucks. Use the 1.6l motor out of a sidekick and the DOHC head from a 1st gen Suzuki Swift GT. They would make like 140-150hp.
I’m OK with the 2nd infraction. It’s basically how you want to drive manual in traffic. Keep rolling at a steady speed as traffic is stop and go in front of you. You still get there at the same time.
This is very close to what it costs for a running 380. @ $2500 NP, at $3500 ND.
I just recently got on facebook to check out the groups since it seems like that’s were the traffic has gone. That was an extremely short lived experiment. The facebook group format is basically unusable. With out tons of scrolling you can’t see all the posts. It’s hard to narrow in specific topics since it’s a…
It’s not bogus, it’s economics. It’s funny the same people that are pro-union are usually the most ardent against socialism and communism. Unions are pretty damn close to that. You take away the market forces and things go off the rails.
If I have a skill that someone will do for less I don’t have a job. Simple as that. On the large scale I’m fine with that. Personally it would suck but I’d have to actually then hone a skill that was valuable.
