Which, of course, is a Dylan cover.

The only thing about that is it's from a time when most artists, especially country artists, performed other songwriter's works on a regular basis. Frank Sinatra never wrote a song in his life. Elvis didn't write songs. It wasn't until the mid to late 60s that it was expected that a band or singer was expected to

No mention of Starburns Zardoz? STARBURNZARDOZ

It's always hit or miss - one year a Godfather wins, another year a Crash wins. I think a more interesting article would be the greatest films to not be nominated for Best Picture (like Modern Times, His Girl Friday, The Third Man, Vertigo, The Great Escape, Full Metal Jacket, Some Like It Hot, 2001, etc, etc)

Ray Wise makes everything better.

I think the funniest part of the show in retrospect is being able to tell if it was a morning recording or afternoon. They'd clearly get liquored up at lunch and the shows shot later in the day some of them are clearly hammered.

So much is good, so much is bad. Compelling viewing, but so many 'WTF that would never happen' moments that by the end I was disengaged. 1. A reporter is killed behind construction on a subway, but cop and fellow journo don't rewind 2 minutes to see her looking around furtively so she's OBVIOUSLY meeting someone? 2.

Molly was great, her character was…well, would a female Dem Rep. REALLY viciously attack a sexual assault victim on national TV? How does that make sense at all?

I have a sneaking suspicion I've already heard variations on some of these before on How Did This Get Made…

I highly recommend the book Monuments Men on which it's based to learn the full history of this amazing story. It's not the best written book ever, but the facts are so astonishing it doesn't matter. If you have any interest in art, art history, WWII, spy stories, etc it's well worth it.

While HGF and The Philadelphia Story (along with the others mentioned here) are some of my favorite films ever made, some other fun Cary Grant entries are: Topper (he and Constance Bennett are mischievous ghosts bugging Roland Young); Gunga Din (a fun action movie set in India w/ Victor McClagen and Doug Fairbanks,

While it's plainly inspired by Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, especially Ferrell's quasi-Wellesian appearances (I'm surprised the clear parallel is not mentioned in the review), it is a very clever parody of those great, goofy mini-series which I was raised on in the 70s/80s.

Gaffigan is one of the most respected and well liked stand up comics in the business. He's a genuinely nice guy and hard working family man who does what he does very well, and any stand up you name, whether they're a big mainstream name or hipster approved alt-comic would say the same thing about him.

It's an iconic drum riff created by one man, Hal Blaine, that has been 'borrowed' many times since.  The article isn't dissing any of the songs, just pointing out their connecting link.  It's like Chuck Berry's opening riff to "Johnny B Goode," which in turn spawned god knows how many others, be they Beach Boys,
