Dune is a story that takes place 10,000 years in the future. Commenting on the presumed improper ancestry of the actors playing the main characters is more than a little silly.

So basically this 2024 film is really just a ripoff of Philip K. Dick’s We can Remember it for you Wholesale which was the basis for 1990's Total Recall, which already had a totally crappy and unnecessary remake?!?!?

HBO lost a ton of money producing The Pacific.

TCM has it’s own streaming service, available if you have a cable subscription that includes TCM,  which makes available all of the films broadcast on TCM for the past 30 days or so.  Not sure how much the TCM streaming costs if you’ve cut the cord.

If this were the UK, yes, but in the US it’s really hard to get a libel or slander civil suit to stick.

I imagine both Nolan and Robbie have the clout and cache, even before the success of their last films, to pick their release dates regardless of what the studio or marketing departments think.

And Thunderdome is actually a pretty good MM film with an unfortunate detour in the third act into silliness. I blame George Oglivie.

The early 60's version of The Haunting is one of the best ghost stories ever filmed.  All atmosphere and creeping dread.  Don’t bother with the remake from the late 90's it’s one of the worst remakes in the history of horror films.
