There were a lot of problems with True Blood, Evan Rachel Wood wasn’t one of them, in fact not having more screen-time for her character was.

Cersei is goading Danaeyrs into attempting to burn down King’s Landing, all the better to make Cersei look like the Savior of King’s Landing. Good strategy considering how badly Team Dany.has screwed up the war for the throne so far.

Cersei just beheaded one of those “foreign usurpers” and is goading Danaeyrs into burning down the whole city.  As far as the populace is concerned Cersei is their savior at this point.

Qyburn is the only adviser that Cersei’s trusts. He was the only one who came immediately to her aid after the walk of shame, created the Undead Mountain and has acted as her physician.

Plausible deniability, it’s obvious to the viewer that Cersei was the mastermind behind the plot to blow up the Sept, but not to the commoners.

You’re assuming he’s left to shack up with his sister, rather than heading down south on a suicide mission to kill Cersei.  I think it’s the latter.
