Heh, me and another cousin were the ones that would never drop the controller unless we had to. Our other 2 chick cousins would either a) Ask to play or b) want to do ANYTHING else. We actually let them play quite a bit though. Mostly Harvest Moon 64, Goldeneye, and random NES games we played together.

It looks sharper and clearer, but the atmosphere is far better in the gc version.

Agreed, but I still really liked the game. There was no personality to it at all, it was like they just wanted to bring it back to the more realistic look. The dungeons were actually pretty damn good, but the world and the characters were subpar compared to the rest of the games in the series.

There's more shit covering the screen than the actual game. Why would anyone ENJOY watching something like that?

Wasn't going to buy the game until it went on sale thinking that it wouldn't be worth the full price. Then a bunch of friends got the game and I felt obligated to join in as well(Steam).

I don't know if you could include Metroid Prime in this as those are more of areas and not weather changes, but I loved how it would change your mask. In cold places frost would form around the edges, your visor would get steamed up, water droplets would form from waterfalls or rain. It was just a really neat effect…
