It's built into the iPhone... Does your provider disable that? So lame. You pay for data you should be able to use it however you please.

You cannot setup the ad-hoc network, initially on the iPad for this to work. However, if you also have a laptop in the mix, you can probably connect to the laptop ad-hoc with the iPad and then get the iPhone connection through that.
Sweet, thanks!
Looks pretty stellar.
That seems awkward. Or maybe it depends on the shape of your pocket. I can see that working less awkwardly with dress pants where the pocket goes down the side/seam. It doesn't work so well with my jeans/horizontal pocket.
Oh yes, I forgot about SD cards - duh!
Aren't exposed contacts not a good thing?
Yes, I agree. You can't leave everything turned on and expect the world in return. That being said, if I buy an LTE phone, I sure as shit want to have LTE turned on the entire time because it will almost always be faster than any open Wifi networks around these parts and I have 6GB of data/month I need to use up, why…
Yup, I worked at a cellphone store for 5 years during college. Poor battery life was the #1 complaint of pretty well all Android phones, followed closely by a terribly non intuitive UI and then by 'why do I have to turn off all the features that make it better than an iPhone just to get it to last all day?'
Hmm, that's a valid point. I'm not sure which way is more likely. With them facing up, obviously it's easier for dust and lint to settle in them, but how much dust and lint floats around the top of your pocket. Whereas, with them downwards they are basking in the dust/lint pile at the bottom of your pocket and may…
They probably gave them more money them more money than they ever made selling iPhones... Seems win-win to me.
Damn you! Probably still be close to a trillion though as 100 million would be 1.6 trillion.
Yes, I became aware of the 'no iTouch' after re-reading when I realized it sounded strange.
Like with a finger pinched on either side so it pivots between your fingers counteracting the rotation of your hand as it's raised from upside down to upright?
Well that's good to hear. I'm basing it on customer reports with Rogers in Canada - as well as numerous 'angry customer' reports in the comments of the 'S3 great battery' articles. No experience of my own, so it's not an overly qualified comment.
Elaborate?
I supposed that's a valid reason to be inaccurate.
