Why?

Yes, reflecting the flash light would be good if it was reflecting onto the subject, but because it reflects right around the lens, it washes out the photo. If you want to see an example... Put a coloured translucent silicon case with a camera hole thats exactly the size of the lens on your iPhone and take a pic with

Ha. I have no idea. I haven't seen a picture of the back yet to see if the camera looks any different...?

You're right that does sound good. However, Apple still wins. If Microsoft can increase their revenue and keep the same margin, then they'll win. But, it all comes down to new dollars in the business world and Apple made more.

I would say Microsoft has better margins. They made roughly the same profit on $10 billion less revenue.

Yellowing is not the problem. The white iPhone reflects too much light from the flash rendering the camera useless, one of the main selling features of the iPhone4.

Yes that would be sick.. but yeah it would require like a 3-5 lens setup with them in a U shape to be able to mimic the movement of your head from side to side.

iPhone '1G' completely changed the entire telecommunications industry.

Oh yes, I see your point. Definitely seems like it'd be impossible. But I can't wait for Apple to include a head tracking API so developers can really start to take advantage of this.

how could a gyro determine what angle you are looking at something? It's not the same effect at all. Maybe it looks similar to this effect when he is simply moving the ipad around but the true use of this effect is when he's moving the camera around and the ipad is stationary yet the viewing angle of the 3D

how often does more than one person use an ipad at a time.

I've been waiting for johnny wu to make this ever since the iphone4 got front facing camera... this is going to be siick

Yes definately. I was hoping Apple actually implemented this since I read the first article but it never came.
