Yep, I definitely agree that lot of people really will end up paying more and that the tax changes were a bad idea. It just seemed like most of the people in that tweet were just comparing the size of their refunds.

Yeah, it could be that their taxes went down but their medical premiums went up, so they didn’t notice a difference in their paychecks.

Yeah, the first guy is probably doing it correctly, and probably got screwed the SALT limit.  Matt Davis, on the other hand, seems to just be comparing refunds, and is also throwing in a misunderstanding of how marginal tax rates work.

I wonder if people are just comparing their refunds from last year to this year, and not taking into account that fewer taxes were taken out of their paychecks during 2018.
