I agree this is probably the coolest thing ive seen so far.

When I’m jogging along, I press the VATS button every 10 seconds or so. Just in case.

That’s pretty amazing. I just got my kids Wii U in the mail, and am debating if Santa is going to make it an early Christmas so I can play Splatoon and SSB lol.

There were a few little in jokes in this issue I enjoyed.

Yeah, im split on the sub thing. It definitely makes for a game with much better community. If you have a lot of free time in bursts, its fine. It really is a lot of play time for that money when compared to a single player games that you may play for dozens of hours rather than hundreds.

R2-D2 smack talking other droids is the best. I loved this confrontation with the killer astromech. Duel of the Droids was one of the most hilarious episodes of the clone wars. When R2 pulls out that welder to threaten people, it’s always funny.

The characters also mention the sabers are unwieldy and it takes more effort to keep from killing yourself than it does to kill someone else.

I don’t think it ever shows them discarding the lightsabers. They can’t use them after imperial reinforcements arrive but I don’t think we see them pitch them in the trash or anything. But really, a lightsaber would be nearly useless unless you have the force. Especially if your enemy has a gun.

Yeah, they’re there. Like all books on Unlimited, there’s a six-month delay, but you’ve still got the first 5 or 6 issues for each book.

Yeah, kind of think you missed the point on the comics. Especially Darth Vader. They’re going out of their way to not only show him as a violent force of nature, but as a cunning manipulator and strategist.

Wait, what?? The new Star Wars comics are on Marvel Unlimited? I tried to see if they were but I couldn’t find anything saying they were so I assumed that newer comics weren’t on Marvel Unlimited.

I’ve read the Lando run, and now I’m working on the Chewbacca. I’ll likely end up snagging collected works of everything later one too. They have a nice way of capturing the feel of the original trilogy, giving a nice pace of action and tension, while being able to offset it with genuine heart and comedy.

This is why the prequels were so bad : apart from Christensen (awful) acting, no characters had nay emotions...

This is an awesome line, for all manner of EU-related reasons.

So far I love Marvel’s Darth Vader comics. They’ve made him into a more specific character without at all making him less scary. “All I am surrounded by is fear and dead men,” Vader’s response when told he should surrender because he’s surrounded by an entire division, proves to be a threat he’s quite capable of

You’re right, obviously, but... Well.

At the risk of showing my embarrassing sub-100% recollection of the Original Movies... Doesn’t Han pick up a lightsaber to cut into that beastie in Empire Strikes Back?

Yeah, that’s Immonen

Almost all of the comics have been stellar. The Leia miniseries was by far the weakest, but I thoroughly enjoyed Lando, the Chewbacca series is hilarious, the momentum and stakes of the keystone Star Wars and Darth Vader books continues to build (and I’m certain we’ll get some great back story and character reveals

As far as I am aware there has never been anything that prevented people who didn’t have the force from using a lightsaber (Han uses one in The Empire Strikes Back to cut open the tauntaun, Also General Grievous uses on in Revenge of the Sith and clone wars cartoon.). In most respects it isn’t that different from a
