Makapu is not the north shore...you can see the light house.  You could have just used lyft from waikiki to there for $20-30.

You also don’t hear sportscasters say “the OSU” when referring to The Ohio State University, it’s official name.

So Hertz had no cars? Or just didn’t have the class of car you reserved? I’ve had option 2 happen to me multiple times both pre and post-covid, and each time ends up with a free upgrade 

In Hawaii’s defense, it’s not like they aren’t 2,000 miles away from the “mainland”... oh wait, they are. They can’t just rotate cars in and out from other nearby states.

I was able to rent in Hawaii without a problem this summer, we went with budget because it seemed more like their inventory was accurate.
