Well, it worked great except for in one case: if I was in the smallest chainring at the front and shifted to the smallest cog on the cassette at the back, the bike stopped working. The rear derailleur would lock up!

Volvo has the ideal demographic for this sort of car, but ignored it. And I don’t think that a new brand is a sure path to success. Didn’t work for Mercedes (Smart), or Mazda (Eunos) or many others.
