You can get mounts that weld into the rear floor and allow you to put the rear seat from a 2-door Wrangler in the back of a 4-door, since probably half of us take the back seat out before we send in the first payment.

I've tried to apply. The application tool isn't communicating with DropBox and won't upload anything, either, so I can't provide samples of my writing. I guess I'll get some sleep and try again tomorrow.

You don't need an extra set of doors to put a 3rd row of seats in a Wrangler. When I was at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab in 2011, there was a JKU with the rear seat from a 2-door JK stuck in the rear cargo area. I've seen the weld-in brackets for sale online. I've got a rear seat, if anyone's looking for one.

I do like how the winch solenoid is mounted in the fender with just the plug outlet showing. I do the same thing with every winch I install.

Douchebags gonna douchebag. It’s the automotive equivalent of leaving the sticker on your snapback hat.

Hell of a selling point, for me

I've always wondered if it was feasible to make a 6x6 using the transfer case from a Dodge Nitro (since they were only single-speed 4WD) as a splitter between the tandem axles. I guess it is...

My absolute favorite (and if you’re not from Eastern NC, you might not want to believe you share a planet with people this stupid):

Everything Tesla sells is either a sedan or a crossover, AKA a sedan with a mild lift kit. With a pickup truck (supposedly) on the horizon, and the plethora of automotive niches they’ve so far ignored, there’s no way we’re at Peak Tesla.

    “Aggro-Crag climbing shape?”

In this day and age when 2-door vehicles don’t sell, and nobody drives a stick shift anymore, how can one car be any more or less Meh than the rest of them? Just pick out a color and go see the finance guy.

Jeep can barely sell enough 2-door Wranglers to justify production. For some reason, Americans want everything to have 4 doors. I'm surprised the Mustang hasn't been similarly vandalized yet...

I had a similar idea, starting with an M1078 LMTV and moving the driving position rearward to make basically a giant Jeep. Lacking the Sheikh's bank account, it may ultimately remain a pipe dream.

I was licensed to operate the 7-Ton in 2003. They played a huge role in OIF. I know damn well they were in production prior to 2005...

I work on them for a living. They're not any more complicated than any other 4x4 on the road, except for the gear reduction portal hubs. I'd love to own one. But not an M998. I'd want an M1097, with the 6.5 liter engine and the 4L80e transmission. No point in owning a vehicle that can't run at highway speeds.

I hope whoever charged you $1600 for brakes and an AC condenser at least cuddled with you for a few minutes afterward...

I can't be the only one wondering what's behind the plethora of fuel doors...

Killing off Hummer but keeping Buick was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen an automobile manufacturer pull. They were a year away from launching the Hx, or H4, depending on which concept model you saw, which would’ve been the first (and still only) legitimate competitor to the Jeep Wrangler. They wouldn’t have needed to

    Nor octogenarian drivers

90 lbs. Most of the passengers you carry will weigh at least that much, and nobody blinks an eye about the gas mileage hit.
