Seriously. I’ve had a line of credit since I was probably 16? I used it for gas, and my parents paid it off every month because even though we aren’t trust-fund rich, we are “parents will cover the cost of gas and insurance until you graduate from college and get start a career” rich. Oh, and they helped with my

I’ve gotten to the point where I almost exclusively ride gravel. We’re fortunate to have plenty of miles of dirt to ride just outside of town, and it’s nice to spend 3 hours on the bike and see maybe 2 cars.

They also missed EJ Montgomery’s hand grabbing the rim on the shot before the tip in, so let’s just call it even

that is unbelievably hot

Ordering it short gets you kind of close, but yeah, there is essentially no difference between a tall cap and tall latte.

I, too, read Atlas Shrugged in 10th grade.

Have you considered tea? A cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime is my go to for when I want an evening drink that isn’t a drink.

I can’t be over here grating 6 pieces of garlic every night. There is one correct way to prepare garlic - cut off the ends and then smash the with knife or bench scraper. The papery outer comes right off, and a quick mince will have it ready to use.

What’s weird is that Sweetwater has some very good beers. Their flagship IPA, while old, remains one of my favorites, and both the Mosaic and G13 beers they’ve put out recently are exemplary. But I have not been compelled to order a 420 in the past 5 years probably. Fortunately, they seem to have moved away from the “m

I got my wife a copy of Patchwork for Christmas and I’m SO EXCITED for her to open it.  Based on all the great reviews I’ve seen for it, I’m surprised it’s not up here.

I feel like there was a ton of hype around Wide Awake! when it came out, but I’m seeing it absent on list after list. Definitely one of my favorites this year

Don’t forget the screenshot of a photo on their phone

Speaking as an engineer here. I spent two summers interning for $18/hr. I had friends interning at $22/hr + overtime.

I have zero sympathy for teachers with their summer vacations and their $35k / year paychecks and additional unpaid after school responsibilities, and that deeply repressed feeling that your workplace could be the target of a mass shooting on any given day. Unpaid internships just help keep away people who only want

1: sell a quality product at a fair price

I can’t speak for other parts of the country, but here in the South, sours have become ubiquitous. Outside of regional brands, Dogfish Head’s SeaQuench and Sierra Nevada Otra Vez are nationally distributed (although I’m not a huge fan of Otra Vez). I love the complexity of a Flanders Red or similar mixed fermentation

OR DINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As someone from the south, this was my exact reaction the first time I was in Maine. “Oh. This is just cold Alabama.”

We just bought a JKU for my wife (my wife) who has really wanted one for awhile. I originally wanted to buy used, but in the end, I couldn’t justify it when, like you said, a similar new vehicle was only $5,000 more.

Kroger has some surprisingly good coffee under their Private Selection label. I usually buy their Ethiopian at a very comfortable $6.99 / bag. It’s a nice mild coffee, with a bit of acidity and a bit of blueberry note (enough that I’ve had non-coffee snob people point it out when they’ve had it).
