Seriously. I have a Mr. Coffee Burr grinder that was like $30. I’ve used it every morning for like 4 years now, and it’s still going strong. The grind may not be as good as a Baratza, but it’s good enough

Nice
I recently ran across this cocktail (https://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/police-thieves-from-the-one-bottle-cocktail-535233) which uses cinnamon along with gin, citrus, and pineapple. Cinnamon seems to have a weird way of amplifying flavors, so instead of coming off like apple pie / baking spices, the drink ends up…

I have to agree on your NEIPA sentiment - the majority are not great. As in literal clumps of yeast falling out of can like it’s some shitty homebrew. Which is unfortunate because I’ve also had some fantastic hazybois that really hit those soft and tropical notes.
Seriously. She was fantastic. TLJ was fantastic. It was so good in fact, that it was easily the best Star Wars movie in 37 years.
I live not too far from the plant where Norma Rae was filmed. It was closed in 2008, and has since burned to the ground. It’s not the first mill in the area to suffer the same fate.
It’s hard to overstate how good that rack is.
Also the water is heated to at least 190F, which is plenty hot enough to kill any pathogenic bacteria.
While I don’t have that particular knife, I am a big fan of santoku knives. My wife and I both have pretty small hands, and we find a 6-7" blade fits well for us. The cutting action is obviously a bit different, but neither of us has worked in a professional kitchen to truly develop knife skills on a chefs knife…

The Nationals should be on this list since it’s literally just a Walgreens logo
The Larry Bird logo deserves a place in MoMA

Depending on where you live, that growler thing might be due to your state’s laws. But they should explain that as they give you a sticker.
I know red / black / session IPAs don’t make sense from a naming convention, but they are useful in communicating an expectation (hops!) for a beer. I don’t expect an American red ale to necessarily have a ton of hop character - maybe more than Fat Tire, but I’d be surprised if I got a glass and smelled a bunch of…
The “I hate IPAs” crowd is always vocal in articles like this, but I don’t think people realize how dominant the style is.
But you hit on a huge point - there are a lot of IPAs (especially of the hazy variety) being brewed right now that are so far from good. And as much as I love IPAs, I’ve recently found I’m often…
I used a Tarptent Contrail (which I believe was replaced by the Protrail) on my thru-hike, and it served me well. Light, easy to set up, and dry outside of the worst conditions. If I hiked again, I’d probably go for the 2-person variant just for the extra room. I had an occasional habit of rolling over the edges of…

I think you may not realize how expensive houses have gotten, especially in comparison to how flat wages have been over the past 15+ years. I live in a small, but nice, southern town (read: cheap compared to the rest of the country), and it’s tough to find a house under $200k or an apartment that will rent for <$1000…
they aren’t under 5k in the south.
