Right. I always describe psychopaths who charge $10,000 to murder a baby by injecting poison into it’s beating heart as ‘heroes.’ Especially those who are so greedy they spend zero dollars on up keeping their facilities.

Lois Duncan novels were some of my absolute favorites growing up. She is an amazingly talented writer. I believe she is reunited with Kaitlyn in a beautiful, peaceful place, and there all her questions will finally be answered and they can be together again.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. You may have saved her life. Even if she did spend the money on clothing and drugs, she may have done something terrible without that money. Butterfly effect...you may have saved a life by your one kind act.
