If you wanna keep assuming some nefarious motives from the devs, you can do so, but I think they’re just a developer doing what devs have done for decades. That they may be caring about different opinions or concerns than your own doesn’t mean they’re mistaken.
If you’ve ever worked on games or any art form, you’ll know changing things that you originally did happens all the time. It’s practically most of the process. I’m an artist, and I rethink my initial decisions all the time. It’s a big part of making things.

I’ve enjoyed Street Fighter for years and even follow major tournaments of it. Just watched Capcom Cup this weekend. SFIV was one of my favorite games of the last generation.
