I was commenting on the fact that it -is- Big Brother from 1984. I’m not sure why people assumed otherwise. The article even mentions Orwell. That’s what I was suggesting was a bit extreme. As bad as this appears to be, comparing this report to the dystopia of Orwell’s 1984 is an unfortunate sensationalizing of it.

heh. I know it’s 1984. This is worth criticizing, but this kind of imagery is a bit extreme for what it is.

I will say, this report has made me less sad about Kojima leaving. Now I just wanna see him and a lot of the Konami staff move on to make their own games free of this mess.

That seems a -tad- extreme. But this is certainly very concerning. I hope more details will now come out about this sad state of affairs at Konami.

As far as JRPGs go, I quite agree. Especially the muscular woman. Translated from the men, they certainly do have a bit more build to them than one would usually see in games. I could see them going further, but as I said, this is still pretty good. :)

I suppose I can see a J-Rock girl band kicking ass more than I can see a J-Pop boy band doing it. ;)

I dig these designs more than the originals. They feel more believable than the boy band feel. I doubt Square Enix would handle such a game well, but it’d be cool to see them try. In a mainline Final Fantasy no less.

That’d sure be nice, too, but hey, some hypothetical female representation is good enough as it is. Sadly still just a hypothetical though.

What about other people who prefer otherwise?
