After Years was a convenient cashgrab. It came out 17 years after FFIV as a mobile game. FFIV is beloved, and I’d guess they thought it would be well received by connection to the original alone. It has sold fine, but it is a real disappointment.

It does not look as good as the DS version(because everything was ported to Android and then blown up to a much bigger screen), and the whole menu design is of the mobile version(many oversized blocks made for touch controls).
