Where did you get that graphic?

Maybe you should try an LS* motor. ;)

That’s a lot of constraints just to be allegedly “far” better. But when you think about it, trucks on the highway are usually pulling something.... right?

Despite what all the marketing hype is touting the Z51 with a couple mods is essentially the same car. The C7 Z51 unlike the C6 Z51 already comes with the Z06's: DrySump, tran/diff cooler, e-Diff, and same radiator.

Just order the Z51 package. The widebody is necessary for the tire, aero, and brake package.

More times than not RunFlat tires do not save weight. I know on the vette you can shave 3-5lbs per corner just by going with Non-RunFlats. But I agree they probably save cost, due to now needed to include the jack & spare.

Is it possible to COTD a COTD comment? If so, I recommend this ^^

Does anyone know how this standard will effect the Corvette? I’m very interested how they will incorporate side curtain air bags in the targa top & convertible?

Thanks for the spreadsheet. I went through it and although it shows weight & restrictor size. I didn’t see an account of downforce and other small adjustments which in my opinion matter significantly but are harder to quantify & predict the cause and effect of. For example check out this article: http://www.corvetted.c

They only race with that engine because of the rule book. Sadly only 5.5L are allowed not the 6.2L, unless of course you’re a 2013/2014 Viper then the 8.4L V10 is perfectly fine.

I would like to see said numbers your referring too. As I recall they slowed down the C7.R after the big endro races by adding weight and decreasing the restrictor. Then after the rest of the field caught up (I”m look at you 911 RSR & Ferrari) and began to dominate (Road America, VIR specifically) they then rewrote

People this is what commitment looks like... One handed camera shot of a pit stop while bracing yourself on the leg that’s “healing”

.

You should look up the BOP (balance of power) restrictions placed on Corvette Racing last year as well as this year. Trust me the didn’t loose because of their lack of skill or capabilities. http://www.corvetted.com/imsa-s-unbalan…

So did you get to drive VIR? If so, how is the pavement and paddock area I plan to be on track the first weekend in March.
