Heather Heyer and her mother would take issue with the above statement. And while the phrase “the FBI recruited to join ISIS” is somewhat misleading - no, the FBI hasn’t recruited mentally ill people, given them a gun, and shipped them off to Afghanistan - there are documented cases of the FBI profiling people they

What does it mean to be “actually black”?

In totally unrelated news, it is being reported that Stephen “the sentient big toe” Miller has a girlfriend. Sorry if anyone just regurgitated their breakfast.

I used to be embarassed to tell people that I am still a devoted watcher of The Challenge, but once I emerged from the shadows, I discovered there are many of us from all walks of life. This show is a true gift.

Doesn’t someone have a responsibility to call him out to his face about what he said though? It’s still a bad look, but inviting the guy on and saying, “you said you only feel the need to tell the truth under oath, are you lying now?” isn’t exactly the same as bringing him in to speak as an expert on policy. Yes, I

I’m not attempting to question if her firing was merited or not - like I said, I don’t know the ins and outs of the situation - but the article implies that her APPROACH is inherently bad and I’m curious as to why.

I’m sure I’ll get slammed for this, but, is she entirely wrong? I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know anything about the specifics of her planned approach, so I don’t know if part of it was to simply stop worrying about legislation that is being passed left and right limiting access which is a HORRIBLE idea,

We cannot tolerate intolerant people if we wish to maintain a tolerant society. We can hate those fools. I’m just surprised - this theory has been around since 1947 and I just read about it yesterday. I thought it would have been all over the place as of late.

It’s called the Paradox of Tolerance. Philosopher Karl Popper: “Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be

I had this same questions with LiLo - how does a D-list celebrity just up and MOVE to London? I studied abroad there one semester, took a weekend trip, forgot to bring the letter attesting I was permitted to stay for 6 months, and was almost detained on reentry into the country. And their dad is a dentist - they

I can only hope he didn’t include a note that said, “a little birthday message for my favorite nephew on his big day!” Wouldn’t put it past him.

The world needs a hell of a lot more Gospel of the Barefoot Contessa. That woman is a gem.

Those two were literally raised by a man who went to prison for attempting to set up a sting with his sister’s husband and a prostitute because his sister testified against him, or something beyond the pale sleazy like that. Being a multimillionaire doesn’t make you a horrible person per se, but when that is the base

I don’t think it’s per-se a “wealthy people” thing if we are using the Karlie Kloss and Kush as the bar for “wealthy” - because I know a lot of people who have put on three days of events and don’t come anywhere NEAR that type of wealth, but I do think it has become more common for weddings where there are going to be

I don’t have facebook. That explains why I haven’t been able to find it.

Day Drinking With Seth Meyers is one of the funniest bits on TV. He did a Day Drinking with Retta, but for some reason it’s not available on You Tube even though his other ones are. If you can track it down, highly recommend.

How long have parents and teachers and guidance counselors and your next door neighbor been telling kids, “just remember, what you put online stays with you forever”? It’s 2019 - the internet isn’t a new phenomenon. Conservatives keep trying to argue, “well if we were all judged by what we did when we were 16, who

This is one sick fuck, but they would have to have proven that he did in fact actually try to kill her, which based on the circumstances, it doesn’t seem like he did because that’s not what gets him off (apparently). As frustrating as it can be, motive and intent do still play a role in the legal system.

So is she claiming the Hatch Act violates a federal employee’s right to free speech, that she didn’t actually violate the Hatch Act and they are using the threat to scare her, or that the Hatch Act doesn’t apply to her?

I’m not suggesting we forcibly vaccinate anyone - I’m saying if you CHOOSE not to vaccinate, you don’t get to send your children to school with children who do. You can remain quarantined. Feel free to make the choice that you think is best for your family, and simply accept the consequences of that decision.
