“Exploitation is bad. Let’s put more blood on the naked teenager so the audience understands we think exploitation is bad.”

“Narcissism is awful, and young people are the worst, but isn’t this 16-year-old girl super hot?”

Sorry, this was a bad reply. But I agree with you! And I’m very sick of movies and TV shows and even, like, advertisements that profess to condemn something while directly and explicitly contributing to that thing they’re saying they condemn!

That song by the Beatles - “It’s Getting Better” always used to piss me off. When I was growing up, the Beatles were held up as the quintessential ‘cool band’ and the prime example of good music that everyone loved. Being a teenager listening to his music and then discovering this B-side about how he used to “beat

No. You’re the guy in the video who will be shocked to find out his protest voted counted, and helped elect an idiot. What other outcome are you looking for? You said “lets hope this doesnt happen”, then basically said you are actively helping it happen.

That’s very true, but I would be very careful about doing that unless it’s absolutely clear that you live in a state where your vote won’t matter. It would suck to vote Green, only to find that enough other liberals had also voted Green, and Trump won the state.

Unfortunately the current interntet-everything culture has given a LOT of people this exact idea. People have come to view politics as nothing but Twitter polls. “Oh wait, you mean this is real life? Hang on...”

There are some Clinton supporters who are awful. Some Sanders supporters as well. Trump supporters are ... a lot worse.

ok. (breathe in) For all of your bernie supporters (and im one of them, i still have the t-shirt and the undying need for meaningful political and economic reform). Please understand that our very way of life is in the balance here. I wish that bernie won. I wish our election was fair and that everyone had their

So you JUST said, “let’s hope this doesn’t happen in November with Bernie supporters” and go on to say that’s exactly what you plan to do. Brexit is EXACTLY what will happen to us if Bernie supporters do what you’re saying you’re going to do. Trump will win.

yeah... I’ll tell you what, with Trump as the candidate, I have a whole new appreciation for Mitt Romney.

My wife is Muslim, and I want her to be free to move the country, and to leave and re-enter. Trump threatens both of those freedoms. I have a lot of less personal reasons for wanting him not to be President, but that’s definitely one of them.

I’m voting for Hillary out of self preservation. I don’t like but, as a racially ambigious brown person, a Trump presidency increases the likelihood I will get a brick to the face by a random racist.

If anything, I think this should scare some sense into “Bernie or Bust”ers. My first thought when I found out about the Brexit this morning was “dear god, there is actually a non-zero chance that Donald Trump is going to be our next president.” (Personally, I’m a Bernie supporter, but I’ll certainly vote for Clinton

I generally agree. I’m also in MA, and I voted for Stein in the last election. But even the blue states could be in trouble if enough democrats and left-leaning independents decide that the state is safe and vote for someone else.

I just got this from a friend in Wells, UK

Same - I’m not a Clinton fan, but I’m not sure anyone is worse than Trump. I wasn’t even going to bother voting, but you’re right, we should really use this as an opportunity to learn about the hard truth of voting. Don’t use your vote to make a stand, because if you do and we end up like Britain.....ugh.

I was watching one of the endless string of political shows this week, and someone said that a lot of Leave voters didn’t actually realise that Brexit meant actually leaving the EU, they thought it was more like a show of force in order to get better terms from the EU.

I hope these idiots who say things like “This country deserves someone as horrible as Trump as a president. I might just vote for him to prove a point” realize that toying with the country like this isn’t cute and has real consequences.

A protest vote. You know, like voting third party because Bernie didn’t get the nomination...
