Let’s wait until he’s dead!
Not just the 70s: I was born in the 70s, but even 1990 was a very different time to the present day. It’s extremely difficult to handle this quandary. It’s also true that people did see this situation as morally wrong in the past, but the emphasis was completely different.
While this promotes a lot of good dialog (and there is something to be said for viewing history through a contemporary lens), it feels wrong to talk about someone who isn’t present to defend themselves.
What I find funny in all of this is that Bowie is dead and no longer around to defend himself from the content hungry. Meanwhile, real sexual criminals like Steven Tyler and Charlie Sheen are considered just old and crazy!
