I don’t think he wipes his arse. I think he just leaves it.
I don’t think he wipes his arse. I think he just leaves it.
Tons of people struggle and the fact is many are “Not Poor Enough” to get help.
If you look at the issues themselves, presented in a non-partisan way, the country as a whole is not centrist at all. It’s quite liberal. Huge majorities are in favor of reproductive freedom, gun control, comprehensive sex education in public schools, better school funding, decriminalization of marijuana, de-privatizat…
She’s earned six Grammy noms, co-starred in Best Picture winner Moonlight, as well as a starring role in Hidden Figures, and she’s a CoverGirl spokeswoman. Even if you’ve heard none of her music, seen none of her movies and never use makeup - if you’re on the Internet, you should have a passing recognition of her.…
Most people following a pop culture blog know who Janelle Monae is. If you don’t that’s on you. It’s Janelle Fucking Monae.
Just because you don’t know who she is doesn’t mean she isn’t a household name. She’s a famous singer, has starred in a film that won an Academy Award for best picture, and has been on major magazine covers.
The blog is not required to explain who enormously popular musicians/actresses are every time they are mentioned. They don’t say “‘Good Will Hunting’ actor Ben Affleck,” do they? This isn’t People magazine, get your head out of your ass.
Who pulled you out of the greys? I’d like to kick them in the crotch.
No judgement BUT if you give your kids pre-packaged foods, you’re making them dumb. No judgement!
We’re all just doing the best we can with the limited knowledge, limited time, and limited energy presented to us by a cold and uncaring universe.
Your kid is fine and you are doing a great job! There are already too many things to have mom guilt over, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not one of them. I was a terribly picky eater as a kid and was raised on processed food and did just fine. My kids are somewhat picky too, we do our best!
Shaggy’s been a long term advocate for a public option, I think his opinions need to be taken seriously.
ugh this^^. My kid is a picky eater and he likes uncrustables. Saying he’s doomed in school because I throw a premade sandwich into his lunchbox is fueling the intense mom guilty i already have oh no im crying.
Add in to this that the homemade bread will rapidly stale/mold vs the one that’s been processed to hell and back.
Look, I agree with you to a certain point. But there are really valid socio-economic factors as to why poorer households are genuinely too time/money poor to make ‘good’ food choices. In some places, the prices of fresh food have noticeably gone up, while availability has gone down (eg food deserts). It’s great to…
Eh, calories are calories.
Go ahead and have one, now! I have the authority to let you eat one or two. Then go asleep. You’ll feel better.
True Story:
Strictly time-saving. People of course do make PB&J for kids all the time (if their school allows peanut butter). But Uncrustables are frozen and take about as much time out to thaw as it takes for kids to hit lunch hour. So for super busy parents or kids it’s just a fast way to get a protein hit. Also some kids are…
