Bonus points if you can tell me how I can keep the armpits white (and still wear antiperspirant!)

Ok. So let’s say she wasn’t tortured. You’re latching onto that to ignore my larger point: she’s still dead and a victim here. The narratives about Avery—and again, I’m not arguing whether he did it or not. I don’t know and can’t know so I’m not going to argue with anyone on that point—often exclude mention of Halbach

“almost every major player in the explored crimes is still alive—including one of the victims.”

IF you’re lucky to get an assistantship to pay for your tuition (mine did, but didn’t cover the fees each semester), you still have to take out loans to pay for summer (only 9 month contract) and to make up for the below-poverty level wages the assistantship pays. At least, that’s what I experienced in the humanities.

I agree that Jenner’s politics are awful. However, I will give the show a lot of credit in making sure that others around her step in to explain why trans* people often use social programs and how they help them. The end of the second episode was a scene where trans* women of color were really laying into her about

My mom has one of those and uses it for EVERY Thanksgiving and Christmas! I have a big family and we like our buns warmed, thankyouverymuch. ;) Not sure I would have recognized it if it wasn’t for the green top!

Yep. He and Scott Walker have the most punchable faces.

Really? When I was there about 5 years ago, they were fine with it (there was an actual sign saying pictures were ok as long as you didn't use flash). Maybe this has changed as of late...

Ermmm....shouldn't it be "Unusually-colored flower"? Took me a bit to get at what you were saying and I'd hate for people to jump on you over phrasing that could be taken out of context.

Re: This Kanye/Beyonce/Beck pop culture moment that is happening...

Yes. This reads like one of my freshman comp papers that the student wrote the night before. I'm all for—and heartily welcome—a reasoned, nuanced critique of domestic violence or gaming culture and the objectification of women. This article...is not even close to being it.

So, are we assuming that the child in question is Heidi? I notice that she is never directly named. Obviously, she would be the first name who pops into our heads, but the way it's worded makes me wonder if it could be someone else? Just curious what others were thinking.

Me thinks you missed the tongue-in-cheek, satire-esque nature of the OP's comment.

YUUUUP. I couldn't help but wonder about him a bit after choosing to play these two characters so close together...

Oh, I totally get where this dude is coming from. Sometimes, when I look at myself in the mirror when wearing leggings, I'm so overcome with lust for myself that I'm late leaving the house.

Not sure, but William Wells Brown—an escaped slave who ended up in England and wrote the first novel published by a former slave—wrote Clotel (about the titular character and her sister, both fictional slave daughters of Thomas Jefferson) and used the Craft's escape plan in the novel! There is personal correspondence

This isn't new—at least the idea isn't. Amazon has had Black Friday Deals Week for at least 5-6 years now. It used to start the Monday before Black Friday, so I guess it's new in that they've moved it up. They actually used to have a calendar of Spotlight and Goldbox deals throughout the week so you'd know when to go
