I agree with you on one hand but I often like to see a different spin on an older movie. Highlander came out 25 years ago, so a reboot wouldn't be a bad idea. You'll have a new generation looking at it. Rebooting Spider-man, which came out less than 10 years ago...? Yeah, that's a little too soon.
