Eta because better:

“All vegans are awful SO LET’S SHIT ON THEM” is frequently a trope meat-eaters* like to bust out for a variety of reasons, virtually all of which are ultimately both self-serving and self-aggrandizing.

I love that this all started over her not knowing what “idiosyncratic” meant. Reminds me of the “obtuse” bit in Shawshank. (Which Kinja won’t let me post of course)

The best part is that this whole thing apparently started because someone didn’t understand what “idiosyncratic” means. (Hint: not the same as idiotic.)

Above his crowd? I don’t think he knows that word. This week in discussing past American presidents, he referred to a presidential term as a ‘reign’. More than once. He thinks the President of the U.S. is a democratically elected monarch.

Furthermore, it’s redundant, as “obviate” means “eliminate the need for.”

Some women just don’t need makeup. Amy Schumer (and her writers) won an Emmy for this:

Trump, waving a hand across his face, also said women might prefer wearing burkas because it obviates the need for make-up

The View is still on?

This is the perfect response to the state of Texas.

We need this in America.

Ten percent of an entire country banding together in one place, in one day, to change for the better. In some ways, that makes it hard to believe it was only 40 years ago.

Well said! He has literally done everything possible to scuttle people’s home lives short of going through the parking lot and deflating tires.

I hate to throw salt on the wound, but next up, Boehner is planning on bringing up yet another vote to repeal the affordable care act (for the 50 something time). Cause wasting tax payer dollars in futile votes are what “takers” do.

Wonder what his hero Ayn Rand says about family time?

Also he’s not even really talking about family time at all—he’s talking about how he doesn’t like the parts of his job that suck. He’s being a weenie about his work obligations.
