I’ve never collared my cats. I live in a rural area, so they roam free a lot of the time. They know the way home and worst care scenario is they get taken by a coyote or coydog. Seems a worthwhile risk for the freedom they enjoy.

I have no idea if (or why) windex would somehow cause shrinkage, but I'm skepical that it could do so in a significant amount. If I want to shrink a finger I use ethyl chloride which also provides a bit of numbing effect as well.
