Which is a strawman, as you well know. Moore’s use of established characters was, as he has pointed out, satirical, whereas DC’s use of his material was just opportunistic and lazy.

US Customs is what happens when a certain type of person is not punched in the face enough.
If you watch that seen on the balcony, you’ll note he takes his cues from his mother and not the World’s Most Embarrassing Dad.
It’s like a panorama of scum.
Old gits with long memories, and battered copies of TMNT and Other Strangeness, will note, of course, that Doreen is a classic example of a mutant animal with full human looks. (So’s the Cat from Red Dwarf, and I have just had the greatest idea for a crossover ever...)
Do you always call people who calmly ask questions in an effort to better understand things “dim”?
As Aristotle said, treat equals as equals and treat the unequal as unequal - in other words, stop assuming equality is there when it’s not, and be prepared to mitigate in its absence.
It is a macro phenomenon. The problem is, people are a bit dim and can’t think beyond their own (highly partial) personal perspectives. The Bigger Picture, however, is always revealing.
You’re frighteningly dim.
Yes. ;-)
Have you watched both episodes?
Perhaps, but expect it to be bodged horribly if so.
And once again with the cherrypicking.
I suggest you hold your breath for as long as possible. It might do the world a favour.
And once they’re finished with illegal immigrants, what do you think they’ll do with all that infrastructure and staff? It won’t go away - it might well turn up some day at your door too.
No, because they did exactly the same thing - they just packaged it differently.
Right, and this is relevant because....?
Series 1 and 3 of Broadchurch are well worth a watch, if you fancy a bit of Chibnall, btw. Series 2...? Not so much.
Well, it can’t be too obvious a ‘homage’, can it? The show was pretty much DOA when ‘Into The Dalek’ started - ahem - ‘recycling’ ‘Dalek’. Though it has been reusing the same shitty character and story arks since 2005, so that’s to be expected now.
Which is a classic example of Nu Who fandom’s post hoc cherrypicking.
