what a douche.

lol. A+

what does that have to do with the fact that your odds of being gunned down are slim to none? hence, this made the news because it’s a very unusual thing. if it was an event that happened all the time, it wouldn’t be newsworthy.

I do. Your odds of being struck down by a terrorist in America are also virtually NIL.

My point was that the media trains us to be terrified of gun violence when common sense dictates that unless you’re involved in a life of crime, your odds of being randomly shot in America are extremely low. The overwhelming acts of

also, the piece of trash is referring to the guy who shot mcknight. This is a truly random crime and it’s news because it happens relatively infrequently.

good argument. I now see things as you do.

i agree the fear of terrorism is over blown, but so is the fear of being randomly gunned down in America. If you’re in a gang, or engaged in criminal activity, your chances of being shot go up dramatically. How do you quantify that? no clue, but it’s common sense.

does that factor in the fact that half of those murders are attributable to leading a life of crime (i.e. being in a gang, getting shot during the commission of a crime, etc.)? No it doesn’t. Fact is, if you’re not a criminal, your chances of being randomly murdered in the streets of America are slim to none.

yes, one piece of trash human being shoots another in an isolated road rage incident, and the whole country is scary. over 350 million people in this country, and approx. 12,000 or so are killed every year in gun-related violence. I’d say your odds of being shot in this scary country are slim to none.

what exactly are you doing to be “done” with this year? gonna go into Cryostasis for the next 31 days?

so you’re blaming an unnamed elected official(s) for something that has nothing to do with politics (a road rage incident), and then you’re complaining that we always seek to blame someone else in our society.

something doesn’t add up here...

Why would the NBA do ANYTHING to Rose until he’s been found guilty? what the hell kind of journalist suggests otherwise? if the NBA did anything prior to a conviction, it would be insanity across the league. Accusers would come out of the wood work and players could face suspensions even if they aren’t convicted. Why

Lost on most of the commenters and readers here is that if Kaepernick were a capable QB in the first place, this situation wouldn’t even be happening. Again, Kaepernick made his own bed here. He simply (so far) has not been a good NFL QB and he doesn’t deserve to be paid like one. No Business owner worth their salt

Are these owners and Goodell forcing these players to do things? Do they not have free will? Blame the NFLPA for negotiating a horrible situation - and yes, it is absolutely horrible - for these players. THis is America, where we are free to enter into agreements with other parties as we please. The owners may be

again, why is this ANYONE’S fault aside from Kaepernick’s (and his agent’s)? Who FORCED him to sign this horrible deal? Who FORCED him to double down on stupid and sign an even worse deal? when you can show me the answers to these things, I will gladly concede that Kap is the victim here.

can someone please show me the gun that chip kelly put to kaepernick’s head to force him to sign this deal?
