Oh. Kara. You are everything that’s wrong with Jezebel: a seemingly educated girl who shaves down her perspectives whenever she feels like it so the facts can’t get in the way of an otherwise great opportunity to revel in her self-righteous anger. You willfully ignore things like “context,” “historical accuracy” and

Not “proud of” so much as “embarrassed by.”

This Roy person is a loser. All she has in life is an IG account and a line of tacky shoes? Her daughter must be so proud.

I think it’s because A) it’s Beyonce, who is always charming and sophisticated and beautiful in public as far as I can see, and B) Roy’s so smug about it. She’s smug about being the other woman in a highly publicized marriage. That’s tacky and stomach-churning.

BUT CROSS WAS SO DREAMY. AND HIS NAME WAS CROSS. And Gates Medjowski. I’ll give her this: she opened my mind to weird-ass character names.

Me too. American Wife (or something like that) was bland and a little uncomfortable at times, and not in the sentimental “I remember that part of my life” coming-of-age way. I can’t even remember Man of My Dreams. Hopefully this is better.

Same thing is happening to me. It happened for the OC post too. Yet another reason for me to abandon in frustration anything that Kara posts.

I worked at a deli in Bel-Air for a few months to save for Trouble’s European Adventure Times (alternate title: Six Weeks of Alcoholism). And no, you’re right: it’s terrible there. That was the only server job where I cried while taking someone’s order.

What?

Nobody in this family is that bright. UCLA needs to expel this asshole if only for the PR reasons.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Like, at all. Please stop.

If she thinks this is “typical” then that probably means all the men in her life are all like this. Meaning: this entire family is shitty and she did a shitty job raising her son.

“The message that women must maintain physical perfection even through the strenuous process of creating another human being freaks me out...”

If she’s anything like me, she thought, “Oh, this’ll be such a grand adventure! I’ll be just like Thoreau and Whitman, at one with the beautiful Arizona desert with my trusty puppy next to me the whole time. I’m sure we’ll find help in about ninety minutes — right around the time I’ll get bored with this scenario and

Yeah...I’m glad she survived and all, but the whole insufficient gas/leaving the road part really weren’t Mensa-level moments.

Yep. They are just awful people. And I know it has nothing to do with anything, but UNC’s loss to Villanova was so much sweeter after it this.

Oh, bless your heart.

I get where she’s coming from, though. There are people out there who assume that some things — usually under the “arts” umbrella — are easy to do because they’re ignorant about what those things really are (and are happy to stay that way). A friend of mine is a comedic actress and it used to annoy the hell out of her

That’s almost the worst thing about this story. Almost.
