So protecting someone's comfort overrides the right of another person to their self-identity? They're not asking to be called Sir Lordship Picklebottom III, they're just asking to be referred to be their preferred pronoun, he/she, him/her, or in other cases they/them, or just by their name rather than a gendered

Just gonna put it out there that I suspect a lot of the feedback being referred to didn't necessarily come via the comments section, as there are multiple ways to contact each writer (and when making "brutal" comments towards someone, doing it through more direct channels, such as email/twitter/g+ makes more sense).

I wonder how much it has to do with our reliance on air transportation to get around rather than the rail/buses that are common in other countries. Then again, maybe we just have a lot of money.

A pretty reasonable alternative to the Aeron is the Realspace Quantum Pro Mesh Midback chair from Office Depot. I've had both and for the price (~$250) it's a great, sturdy chair, highly adjustable. I'm planning on buying a second one soon for home. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/510…

You said In-n-Out and I got hungry, then I read your username and that took care of the appetite. :D

Fellow X-2/530 fan here. I bought 4 more sets off eBay last year (530s, 230s are hard to come by but you can just run without the rear/center fine), so they're still around, I usually spent around $40-50 for a set and they're all consistently great (one had some mesh torn a bit, no biggie). I was having such a hard

As far as I recall, the original consumer optical mice were all LED based. It was a bright red LED on mine, it hurt to look at because it was bright but it wasn't any more dangerous than looking at a bright light bulb. I think laser mice have only been maintstream a few years and all the ones I've used have not used

You could use an LED based optical mouse instead of a laser mouse or a ball mouse. Problem solved.

SMB2 is and will always be my favorite of the series.

RIBWICH?! PLEASE?!

There has to be a way to hone their market research so it's not necessary to spread negative information in the wild about their brand/product in order to get feedback. Microsoft could come out tomorrow and say "There will be no restrictions or verification of used games, they'll work just like they do on the 360"

I bought my mom an Aeropress. After 50+ years of terrible burnt ass coffee maker coffee, she said the Aeropress tasted "too smooth" and went back to her 10-year-old $9 coffee maker.

I like the idea, and if they can hit that price point (and have good reliability and a decent warranty) I can think of a lot of people in my life that would be interested. That's a price point where buying a used car makes me particularly nervous, too cheap to be really good, too expensive to be a throw-away if

I'm sure this is a "holy crap guys, grandma's using an oculus rift, quick grab a camera, half a dozen of our family members are going to love to see this!" type of video, and less a "hey guys, let's impress turbocomppro on gizmodo with our awesome camera skills" type of video. Yano, just sayin'. :p

It's not like this guy was running a lawful practice, using this as an example of why we need to increase regulations for other, legitimate providers is backwards and a knee-jerk reaction ti this situation. Gosnell wasn't running an abortion clinic, Gosnell was exploiting women and his employees, it just so happened

Guns are a very heated topic right now and some people (both on and off the internet) tend to get so worked up that they'll skip past understanding the argument and just start shooting off their not-really-related arguments. I think that was Owen's concern.

Alright I was about to talk crap about this like everyone else, but set to random, the first song that started playing was one of my favorites for quite a long time, which I had entirely forgotten about.

Pet peeve alert. Serial Killers, Serial Rapists and Arsonists are Anti-social (to an extreme degree, sure there are milder cases). People who just don't like being around other people are Asocial.

Your understanding of the term is actually a lot more accurate to its definition. Someone who is anti-social doesn't take into consideration the way their actions harm other people or society. Serial killers are anti-social. People who just don't like being around other people are Asocial.
