Dude I have to respond to this one. Do you mountain bike at all? I have seen more “downhill” carbon rims cracked, chipped, or even blown out around spokes in the last couple years. Whereas my aluminum rims are fine and only need an occasional true. Granted this is mostly at angle fire which has some really rough rocks…

They’d have to pay someone with a 3D scanner which would require having a perfect example of every part first, or pay labor to make 3D files from an archive of 2D drawings which is time+$$$ consuming. And presently only the expensive printers make good looking parts without additional processes.
