I personally think they need to adopt the rollcage rule for the Pikes Peak Open Wheel/Unlimited classes, they don’t take much away from the look of the cars and is really strong.

The hand signals are universal amongst all Motorsports, waving the hand in a circle means “fire up/start up”, and the random hand waving is done to get the attention of another person. While they may look like rush hour gestures they actually serve a real purpose on track.
