My facts are strait, I've lived here my whole life.

I understand that different branches of each religion, and branches of those branches, etc., are all different in both views and structure, but it all eventually comes down to a similar base or premise- faith, teaching, worship, etc., of either stories or values represented by really old text.

In such a world, it would be very beneficial to be a therapist. =]

Quebec gets made fun of because it's views are often opposite of what the rest of the country holds. Your comment about Cuba/Korea makes no sense- If you separate, the relationship between "your country" and the rest of Canada would be permanently damaged, we would not be 'the best neighbors'.

Let me fix that for you:

Leaving the country is not the same as breaking it apart and taking part of it with you.

English and French in harmony? You live in a different Quebec than I. The French are always trying to pick a fight with the English here. Nobody will hire you here if you speak English. The kids vandalize English schools. They won't provide good service in a store or restaurant. The French cops will fuck with

Maybe you can take a "get an evaluation to prove us wrong" kind of stance?

Depends on your definition of 'suffering'. If said sibling is in decent health, not in pain or hurting anyone, and perfectly content with themselves and their life, then it's up to them to decide whether 'help' is necessary.

I wanted to agree with what you started saying, but I think you've taken this viewpoint to an extreme. I similarly hold the view that there no such thing as a mentally perfect person. Everyone has flaws. I don't know that I'd call them illnesses, but to call them flaws is a fair assessment.

What rock do you live under? Facebook has had over a billion active users per month, within the last year. Google is your friend:

That's fair.

I read Gawker sites all the time, and I've yet to come across a blatant attack on any religion in an article (comments aside).

Wait... you agree that they're "mockable"... but get mad that they're being mocked...?

I'd like to ask how use of Facebook would be damaging to a person's spiritual life? What exactly is damaged? Is it taking up time that you should be spending doing other things? In that case, the issue isn't Facebook itself, but time management. Maybe the things you see online are making you question your faith?

+1

People still assume that if they don't do something, nobody else does?

To a point, it doesn't matter on a personal level how many people subscribe to the same system, because that fact is disconnected from what any given person might believe is the truth.

I think using Bible passages to argue anything is stupid, but I agree that he probably was never a religious person to begin with.
