I feel ya.  With my current job, I’m usually the last person to leave and I lock up the building.  I work in an industrial park, and the area can be semi-sketchy at times.  One VP was pretty upset I’d be in the building by myself.  Everything would be locked up, blinds closed.  The building has had break-ins before.

This also concerns me. I’m almost more worried about the 2024 election. Biden is old and not the strongest candidate in my opinion. I think he’ll beat Trump, but the Republicans have four years to get a much better candidate when (knock on wood) Biden is up for reelection.

this is inevitable. Even if the Dems win the presidency and the Senate, the GOP will do everything in their power to obstruct the Dems AND unironically bitch about how everything the Dems want to do will raise taxes or worse, explode the deficit. The Dems need to grow a pair and bear down and pass a bill to forgive

Okay, I’m a little slow, but Daisy Bloom? How could they do that to a child? She’s going to be mortified when she grows up.  That’s like Petal Blossom. North West.  What’s wrong with these people?

I really like what I know of this person. I hope she can stay in D.C. without becoming a part of the problem there.

I’ll take it even further and state that it’s criminal how our own government (both Republicans and Democrats) grift the American people with this idea that we simply can’t afford these things.

It’s hard to quantify, but the LP has definitely done some damage to Trump among the GOP voters who have been ambivalent about him.

It’s amazing how much power AOC’s enemies have given her. She’s a freshmen congresswoman who normally should be a major unknown and have little power. But, they gave her tons of attention and all of a sudden she’s one of the most influencial members of congress.

the Lincoln Project, which is nothing if not a very ingenious scam to enrich some of the worst Republicans from the previous decade, whitewash their reputations, and ensure that they’ll have enduring relevance in the coming years.

meh. I don’t have an issue with celebrities running for office, but I do have an issue with how many of them want a top position in government when they have no experience in politics. And they always do! They’re never running for some local office to get a feel for things. It’s always president of the entire country,

‘Look at that socialist wearing fast fashion by underpaid labor in bad conditions.’ they would say.

And it wouldn’t matter even if she did wear Walmart specials on the cover, they’d just accuse her of pandering, because they’re principle-less culture warriors. They couldn’t care less about anything other than winning for the sake of winning.

Someone is sure obsessed with AOC...from great american hero Lauren’s campaign website (emphasis hers):

Sorry, from now on I only want nothing but qualified career civil servants in office. The problem with celebrity politicians is they never want to start at the bottom and work their way up. They want big jobs first and think city council, or state house is beneath them.

Well, there’s that....

Unlike Trump, Reese Witherspoon actually does run several successful businesses...

I have no problem with anyone, including celebrities, who wants to run for office because they want to serve people and make Americans’ lives better. If that’s your motivation, go for it; we need much more of that, especially from people who aren’t straight white old men. My much bigger concern with celebrities

I like Benefit’s Bang, but Lancome’s Monsieur is my go-to for some BIG (intentionally) messy and wonderful (and non-drippy) lashes!

I’m not sure how I should feel about your post.
