It’s also so easy to walk a shit ton in New York City. I live in an area where everything I need is pretty close and I still like regularly put in 15k steps a day.

He immediately shot to the top of the list of worst house husbands veryyyy quickly.

I was measured in my winter coat once and given a band size that was likely the measurement of my breasts at their fullest point at that time.

He also suggested AAPI fight racism by wearing red, white, and blue...

Some of the candidates(I think Donovan and Garcia?) talked about introducing supportive housing in NYC which has been piloted in other cities and worked pretty well. Watching the debate though, the larger issue with Yang vis-a-vis literally every other candidate on the stage, even former cop Eric Adams, was that Yang

If we didn’t spend so much money on the police, we would have more money for all the other problems facing society.

It is honestly so weird that he’s so arrogant about his middling business success (you were a lawyer for 6 months and then you did GMAT test prep that you sold to princeton review? that’s not a hard or innovative business ) and thought that he had like done something so significant and groundbreaking that his ideas

But his original UBI policy sucked and was intended to replace existing social services. Like he comes from that same Thatcher/Reagan way of thinking that government is like a problem to be solved instead of a way to help people. He also wanted to fund it through a VAT which disproportionately impacts poor people.

I’m in NYC too, I don’t know many people who are following the mayoral race that closely. I was getting attacked on twitter by YangGang from all over the country for retweeting other people’s criticism of him. I just made my twitter private again because it was exhausting and i was afraid of getting doxxed. I have

I think he just suffers from a near pathological need to be liked by everyone he encounters and has also grown up with enough privilege that he’s never really struggled or been challenged, and when he has been challenged, he gives up.

Like we used to forcibly institutionalize people suffering from mental illness and there’s a reason we don’t anymore. Even some people who voluntarily commit say they got treated terribly while in a psychiatric hospital.

Yang is 100% trash.

Kelly Dodd is an awful human but occasionally made good television. Braunwyn is also an awful human but she made awful television and I know no one on these shows have super healthy family dynamics but hers was like really messed up and uncomfortable to watch. It also always seemed like every single thing Braunwyn did

I’m raised Catholic and rarely go to church but I find non-Catholic mass, especially evangelical types, deeply weird and uncomfortable.

She’s a weird fit(doesn’t fit) with the cast. Like she’s friends with Cat Marnell and she had a viewing/premiere party that I think had Azealia Banks and the Red Scare girls as guests.

I only watched the second half of the episode and I don’t think I spotted a mask the entire time?

Yeah, the produce at Whole Foods is reliably good and consistently priced. The Whole Foods I shop at now has ridiculously high inventory turnover but I’ve never been in a Whole Foods anywhere and found all the broccoli limp and kale yellow and salad greens slimy.

I think there are some places where overall COL is low but groceries are weirdly expensive? When I lived in Baltimore, all of the conventional grocery stores had awful produce, there was a Giant/Stop and Shop location that had a half empty bread aisle full of expired bread every time I went there for like 4 years,

I think it’s also even worse with Rogan because he appeals to men, who generally hold more power and are also less likely to think critically about shit that doesn’t directly impact them.

you can’t actually be truly progressive and be misogynistic at the same time because misogyny is inconsistent with progress but progressive also doesn’t even really mean anything anymore.
